MPU-6000 is the world's first integrated 6-axis motion processing component. Compared with multi-component solutions, it eliminates the problem of axis misalignment when combining gyroscopes and accelerometers, significantly reducing packaging space. The MPU-6000 integrates a 3-axis gyroscope, a 3-axis accelerometer, and a Digital Motion Processor (DMP) hardware acceleration engine, which can connect other brand accelerometers, magnetometers, or other sensors via a second I2C port. It outputs complete 9-axis fusion calculation technology to the application end in the form of a single data stream through the main I2C port.
InvenSense's motion processing library can handle complex motion sensing data, reducing the load of motion processing operations on the operating system and providing structured APIs for application development.
The MPU-6000's full-scale gyroscope sensitivity range is ±250, ±500, ±1000, and ±2000°/sec (dps), enabling accurate tracking of both fast and slow movements. Additionally, the user-programmable full-scale accelerometer range is ±2g, ±4g, ±8g, and ±16g. Data transmission is supported via I2C up to 400kHz or SPI up to 20MHz.
The MPU-6000 operates at different voltages, with VDD supply voltage ranging from 2.5V±5%, 3.0V±5%, or 3.3V±5%, and logic interface VDDIO supply at 1.8V±5%. The MPU-6000 package size is 4x4x0.9mm (QFN), a revolutionary size in the industry. Other features include an integrated temperature sensor and an oscillator with only ±1% variation in the operating environment.
